What this site collects
Short version: anonymous, aggregate performance and error data — and nothing that identifies you or records what you read. There are no accounts, no ads, and nothing for sale here.
Frontend telemetry
These pages load Grafana Faro, a frontend observability tool, reporting to Grafana Cloud. It records technical signals — JavaScript errors, page-load and web-vitals performance, and page-view counts — so the site can be kept fast and unbroken. This is also deliberate dogfooding: the people who build these sites use them to talk about observability.
What we deliberately do NOT do
- No session replay. We do not record your screen, mouse, scrolling, or which posts you open or linger on. Some of what is published here concerns health conditions, and a recording of which pages a stranger reads is exactly the kind of data we refuse to hold. The replay software is not even loaded.
- No persistent tracking. Sessions are volatile — kept only in your tab's
sessionStorageand discarded when you close it. Nothing links one visit to the next, or one site in this family to another. - No identifying you. We never set or ask for a user identity. There are no accounts and no login.
- No personal data in events. No names, emails, form contents, or free text are attached to any telemetry.
- No advertising or third-party trackers beyond the single telemetry endpoint described above.
Hosting
The sites are static files served from GitHub Pages, with DNS through Cloudflare. As part of delivering any web page, those providers process ordinary request metadata (such as your IP address) under their own privacy policies. We do not add tracking on top of that.
Turning it off
Every page here works fully without JavaScript. If you block scripts, all telemetry described above is disabled and the content is unaffected.
